Old Business

It was decided at the 2013 meeting to explore the use of a Robo Call Plan for the Island.  Bill Williams reported that this was not feasible for group of our size.

Galen Young reported on maintenance of SeeBee Memorial in Lincoln.

Members agreed to send Roger Miner to National next year (pay registration).  Roger went last year and declined to accept money for the registration.

New Business

The possibility of establishing SeaBee Monuments in National Cemeteries in Nebraska was discussed as a way of using some of the monies in the Island X-1 Account.  Roger Miner agreed to look into this possibility with a person he knows who works at Ft. McFearson Cemetery.

Several of our members passed on last year and it was discussed as to whether we could make sure if SeaBee Plaques were available to their families to be put on their graves.

It was agreed by unanimous vote, that the officers of the Island should meet sometime during the year, some place between Kearney and the eastern part of the State to discuss Island business.  The meal and mileage would be picked up by the Island.

Officers for 2014-15 were discussed and names nominated.  Jimmy Hough was nominated as Commander. Lee Ross was nominated as Senior Vice Commander. Both were the only nominees and both were elected by unanimous vote.  Jim Miller and Bill Williams accepted the appointment as Co-Treasurer, and Carol Applegate was unanimously elected Secretary.  (Thanks Carol!  Your help with this important job is greatly appreciated!)  Roger Miner was again elected as Chaplain.
